Come with me on my journey to a positive midlife mindset. Today I want to chat about my morning ritual of morning manifesting. When my last child left for college, I found my mornings to be one of my biggest challenges. As a morning person, I suddenly had too much time on my hands before my workday began.
I first started by writing down some gratitude thoughts (see Blog 1), which helped center my day. After a few months, I felt moved to expand this morning ritual with the concept of manifesting. Yes, I do believe in this and will argue that it can work.
What Works for Me
- Initially, I attempted to try this exercise through meditation.
- My ADHD tendencies interfered with my focus, so I switched from thinking my manifestations to writing them.
- I write them as soon as I wake up in the morning, so I use the Notes app on my phone.
My Process
- Open your Notes app.
- Take five deep, cleansing breaths.
- Say “Today will be a great day” at least five times.
- Write down whatever enters your mind that you are seeking—not only for today but also for the future.
